FAQ

  • Why now?
Well I, Olsen Aviles, am moving to Boston and the club was gonna have a small BBQ/pickup for me moving away. Then I thought it’d be rad if other people wanted to come. So here we are.
  • Who is Olsen? Can I still come if I don’t know him?
Really doesn’t matter who he is. If you want to play polo, come on down.
  • What’s the format?
I dunno, lets like draw names out of a hat or I remember shift fest had a bunch of different beers in a cooler and people would grab one blindly. People who got the same beer were on the same team. It was rad.
  • What is the registration fee for?
It’s for food, which is going to be excellent, and beer. Which we should have plenty of for people. We are also gonna try and fill some cracks in the court as well.
  • You doing anything on Sunday?
I dunno, probably pick up? Go check out LA. Go get some tacos.
  • Do you have housing available?
Not officially, but ask your friends who live here.
  • Where should I stay?
Highland Park, Echo Park, Silver lake downtown, Chinatown, Lincoln heights. Maybe stay near one of your friends’ houses. Just be careful Los Angeles is really really big and if you stay near the wrong place, it’ll be a very long drive to the court.
  • La is expensive and I have nowhere to stay.
Ok, send me a msg (Olsen Aviles) and I’ll see what I can do, could probably set you camping in my yard at a minimum.
  • Do I need a car?
It’s better if you do, especially if you want to go do stuff. The court is very close to the Gold line/ L train so you could probably do without a car but distances are large in Los Angeles. Just for example, many people would consider my house very close to Downtown LA but it’s still a 5 mile bike ride.
  • Why is this such short notice?
Well to be honest we just talked about it at pickup on Wednesday. But if you can make it please do come.
  • How are the courts?
They are just two tennis courts that go unused. We actually actually used to play here a lot but the surface and lights are terrible so we stopped.
  • This all sounds rad. Where do I sign up?
Fill out this form and Venmo $20 to @Chris_Cola
